Ramakrishna Math

Ramakrishna Math was set up by Swami Vivekananda to follow the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna.
The Hyderabad branch was started in 1974. It is situated on the southern side of Ramakrishna Math Marg in Domalguda locality of Hyderabad.

Indira Park

It is a recreation park for children. Located close to lower tankbund by the Hussainsagar lake, it derives its name from the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.
Covering a vast area with beautiful and luxuriant greenery, it provides a good picnic and hangout spot.

St.Thomas S.P.G. Church

This Church was originally set up by the British in 1852 and carefully nurtured by the Reverend Paranjoty.
This building was named St. Thomas' Church after Bishop Thomas Dealtry, the consecrator. Mr Paranjoty left the mission almost self-supporting.

Sir Ronald Ross Institute

May 13th is the 153rd birth anniversary of Sir Ronald Ross, the Nobel laureate who found the link between malaria and mosquitoes. 
It was in 1897 when Sir Ronald Ross discovered the parasite in the mosquito that, when transmitted to humans, causes malaria. The epoch making discovery took place in Secunderabad.

Hussain Sagar Lake

Lake Hussain Sagar, which separates the city of Secunderabad from Hyderabad is one of the largest man made lakes.
The lake was built in the year 1562 by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali. The lake was originally constructed to supply drinking water but it is not used as a drinking water source since 1930.

An 18 meter high monolithic statue of Lord Buddha towers over the lake from atop the Rock of Gibraltar.
The idea of erecting a giant monolith Buddha statue in the midst of Hussainsagar lake on the Gibraltar rock     was a part of the Buddha Poornima project in 1985.

Hussain Sagar Lake is a popular spot for sailing. Various regattas have been held here since 1971 jointly by the EME Sailing Association and the Secunderabad Sailing Club.

Bollarum Golf Course

Bollarum Golf Course also known as Army Golf Club or Bison Golf Course is one of the oldest and best Golf courses in the nation located in Secunderabad.
This is maintained by the Indian army and is not open to general public.

Ganesh Temple

The Ganesh temple at Secunderabad Railway station has a special mention in terms of its architectural grandedur and spiritual sanctity. History says that the icon of Lord Ganapathi was found out in 1824 by the Madras Regiment Sepoys, while they were digging a well of portable water there.
